Focus On : Education & Learning

Education is at the heart of all UNISON’s work. It helps members, activists and branch officers to realise their potential and provides opportunities to become more involved in UNISON activity.

UNISON provides a wide range of training and development for activists and members at national regional and branch levels. The majority of these courses are delivered in the regions through the Regional Programme.

Branch Education Officer Jane Nightingale is able to arrange training for Stewards and branch activists and provide assistance to any member who is interested in lifelong learning or our Return to Learn programme which is particularly suitable for people who have been out of education for a while and have few or no qualifications. Thousands of people have benefited from R2L.

Please contact Jane through the Branch Office for further information about UNISON's learning opportunities Tel 01226 772988
