We need you to tell us if you are working alongside of agency workers or consultants.We have asked the Council on numerous occasions for this information; we have sought a detailed breakdown of who they are, what they are doing, how long are they needed for, how are they funded and how have they been recruited?
All we have received in response is a vague list of projects and costs and unless we can identify specific concerns the Council will not provide us with any more detailed information.
Some of our members are already ay risk of redundancy and we are sure they could undertake some of the work that is currently been done by agency staff or consultants. We know public spending will be cut by the new government so it is vital that we protect as many jobs as we can and if savings can be made by getting rid of consultants and agency workers then we want to see them go.
So please let us know of any agency workers or consultants employed in your workplace, just send us an email, tell us who they are and where they work, and we will push the council to justify their use.
