In stark contrast to Barnsley Council, Berneslai Homes have refused to make any concessions to employees who struggled to get to work during the recent bad weather.After representations from UNISON Branch Officers, the Council agreed to grant a full days’ flexi credit to staff who braved adverse conditions to get in to work (and met certain conditions) on the worst affected day, when public transport was suspended and it looked like the town was coming to a halt.
South Yorkshire Pensions Authority and the Joint Secretariat have both done the same.
